Scrap metal prices suddenly dropped out again. Every year the prices go up and down, depending on the world trade market. This year the U.S. dollar fluctuations seem to be contributing to a more unstable market, with prices being guesswork from week to week. Last year there was a scrap metal craze with people even reportedly stealing cars off people's front lawns in order to turn them in for scrap. If you were one of the unfortunate people whose vehicle was taken, you know what I mean. Currently prices are a fraction of what they were last year.

Sometimes people have the impression that their hunk of metal (car) is worth a lot of money, but it rarely is.  We dismantle and scrap cars. If a car runs great, but cannot legally be put on the road, we will pay a scrap price for it because more than likely Save we are simply going to dismantle it and crush it.  We also have costs of operation, from towing the vehicle from your location to ours, paying someone to take it apart, drain the fluids, remove and store the parts, and eventually removal of the vehicles is expensive and takes time and money.

We will pay you a fair value for the vehicle for the purposes for which we buy it. Prices will fluctuate depending on the trade markets, how far we have to travel to get it, if it's in one piece or whether parts have been removed, etc. Most often we pay a higher price than you'll find elsewhere.
